We have lots of exciting learning happening this term. Here is a quick summary
Our Migration unit concludes with a trip to the migration museum in week two. Look out for the excursion note. We will be visiting the Central Market to find evidence of Migration and also visiting the Migration Museum to look at the history of migration in Australia.
Round Table Assessments are happening this term. We will be starting with them on day one! You need to choose a topic that engages your HEART, HAND, and MIND. You will research and make an oral presentation to a parent or caregiver, a peer group and me. Presentations are in week 5.
This term we will be revising the number work we have been doing but also focussing in on measurement. First up, angles and measuring angles. Then we will be doing 2D and 3D shapes. After this we will look at linear measurement and time.
The genre we will be focussing on is Narrative. See the Literacy Page for your assignment for the term.
Spelling continues as per usual.
We will be focussing on self protection and anti harassment/bullying strategies.
This term we are looking at “Marvellous Micro-organisms” so be prepared to get your hands dirty growing mould and making bread!
We will finish our battery operated games and be making all sorts of creations using our maths focus on angles and 2D and 3D shapes.
Wakakirri rotations continue.
A fun filled term ahead. Are you looking forward to it? And do you have your game face on!?
Good! Welcome back!
